The book The Lighting Thief by Rick Riordan.It is about the Greek mythological hero Percy, with a modern twist to this timeless tale. It talks about his adventures accompanied by his newly made friends annabeth and Grover.
Percy must return Zeus's master thunderbolt before the end of the summer solstice. he meets countless people along the way, most want to kill him.
I would only recommend this book to people that have at least a slight understanding of Greek mythology. otherwise it will make no sense and will probably get boring. But for the people that have a understanding of Greek mythology, you will find it a great twist on a classic mythological tale.
